The Woolpack

Here I am, back again at 3am in the morning and it's still technically Saturday 27th of December for me until I go to sleep. So yesterday or should I said Boxing Day (26th) I didn't do much to be honest... everyone went out to the seaside and I stopped at home as I don't like it down there for a few reasons. Main reason my home town is seaside based so I don't see the fascination as the others do... others being my girlfriends family. Secondly it was too cold to go, I woke up freezing my bottom off and the idea of being cramped in the car for 90min's didn't seem to be the greatest idea either. So I just messed around on my laptop, I should of wrote a blog then when I had the time... don't know why I left it so late. The evening was relaxed, drank some lager and ate some nice tiger prawns, lovely nice tender beef in gravy and mini pizzas etc and some more nice cake. I did get yelled at but it was sorted by late night... always something silly, I final realised why though, it was something bothering my girlfriend at the time. TODAY... yes need to get back on track, today well 27th Dec hehe... I got up at 12:30pm after going to sleep around 8am and today... it was another day trip out, this time to a nice village where they film/shoot a TV Soap called Emmerdale which is all countryside based really, not a program I like, but watch it when everyone else does. So yeah there was 10 of us and 2 cars, took about 2 hours to get there, was really nice scenery on the way there, all countryside but nice, Victorian style brick buildings etc. The little one got travel sick after all them bumpy roads and going up and down hills. Eventually we got there... looked like it does on TV, we stood outside of the The Woolpack Pub and got our photo's taken, that was the main thing to see there. I will show you a picture of it somewhere here but not one taken by any of us... not got them on the PC yet. We eventually went inside and had something to drink and then had our dinner in there, I had cheese and broccoli soup as I had was still stuffed from the 2 bacon and egg barms (baps) I had before we set off. The food in there is top class home made, great texture and taste, I should of left them a comment it was that good. After about 2 hours there we made our way back, by this time the sun had already set so it was night and instead of taking the country roads we got on to the motorway (highway) so it didn't take as long to get back. After that really it was just chilling out, had some ham and turkey sandwiches and a nice cup of hot coffee and talking to my friends on MSN etc. Unfortunately my Canadian friend hasn't been online this evening or night, guess she is busy today. So anyway hope you enjoy reading my little blog and if you have any comments or ideas to help me improve my blog writing then feel free to leave a comment.

  1. Sounds like it was quite the busy day for you. I had a busy one myself with it being my daughter's birthday and all, plus I had to take my son to the doctor today so that took some time too. Then tonight we had people over for her birthday as well... So yeah, it was crazy around here today too. I hope tomorrow goes better yet :)
